End Gapping Calculator
For every 16’ of plank, allow 1/16” space for every 20o F of temperature difference between the time of installation and the maximum expected temperature (try our Gapping Calculator below). Keep screws at least 3/4” away from plank edges to prevent splitting. Do not over tighten fasteners! If 3/4” from the edge of the plank is off of the framing material, an additional nailer is needed in order to attach the plank.
